"Portovenere"

24 x 36
Giclee on Canvas
$350
Portovenere is a beautiful Liguran coastal village in Italy. It is even more beautiful than Portofino which is considered to be the Italian Riviera. The castle-like structure on the top of the mountain was originally a temple to Venus but is now a little monastery church. Venere in Italian means Venus. Thus, the name of the town, Port of Venus. This is a giclée* reproduction of a painting this painting. It is a limited edition of 250 and would be number 2 in the series.

*(A giclée is an exact reproduction on stretched canvas. It is an extrememly high resolution digital print that is created with a ink-jet printer using fade resistant archival inks.)

it's NOT tuscan...it's in LIGURIA, the region of Portofino..
an guy from portovenere.
Sorry about that. My cousin lives in Massa Cararra and I was under the impression that most of the coast was in Tuscany. In looking it up I also see that Portovenere is all one word.
Thanks for the correction.
